Child Safety Standards
Last updated August 24, 2026
Tarang ("we", "us") prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This page explains what that means, how to report it, and what we do once we know about it.
What this policy covers
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) is any content or behavior that sexually abuses, exploits, or endangers a child — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion, and trafficking of a child. CSAE has no place on Tarang, in any form, for any reason, regardless of who is involved.
What is prohibited
- Posting, sharing, or linking to CSAM in any form.
- Sexualizing a minor in an image, caption, Talk, or profile.
- Grooming, sextortion, or soliciting a minor for sexual content or contact.
- Facilitating or advertising the trafficking or exploitation of a child.
- Using Tarang to direct someone to CSAE content hosted elsewhere.
How to report a concern
Every post can be reported, hidden, or its author blocked, directly from the app. A report reaches us immediately and does not require the content to be removed first. If your concern is about behavior rather than a specific post — for example, someone attempting to groom a child off-platform — or you are not a Tarang user, write to us at contact@funstuff.studio. Reports can be made anonymously and we do not require an account to receive one at that address.
What happens after a report
We review CSAE reports as a priority, ahead of other report types. Once we confirm a violation, we remove the content, and we suspend or permanently remove the account responsible. We are a small team and review is currently manual rather than automated; an automated first pass on uploaded media is planned and tracked on our public roadmap, and this page will be updated when it ships.
Reporting to authorities
Where we confirm CSAM or another instance of CSAE, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to law enforcement, as required by applicable law. We preserve relevant account and content information as needed to support that reporting and any resulting investigation.
Children's use of Tarang
You must be at least 13 to use Tarang, and old enough under the law where you live to agree to our Terms of Use. Tarang is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 13 to hold an account. If you believe a child is using Tarang or is depicted in content on it, report it using the methods above.
Point of contact
Questions about this policy, or reports that don't fit the in-app tools, can be sent to contact@funstuff.studio. This address is monitored by the people responsible for enforcement on Tarang.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our tools and processes change. We will not weaken it without saying so here.
