Questions
Answered plainly.
- What is Tarang?
Tarang is a new social app for sharing photos, built for India.
- What can I post?
Photos — a single image or a carousel, with a caption.
- Why is a like called a Wave, and a comment called a Talk?
Applause in Tarang is a Wave, given by double-tapping a post. A comment is a Talk. The naming is deliberate: a like is a rating, and a feed full of ratings turns into a scoreboard, whereas applause is a response to something someone made.

- What does the name mean?
Tarang comes from the Sanskrit taraṅga, meaning wave or ripple. It is a working name and may change before public release.
